Doug O'Bannon

HI, My name is Tonja, and I am Doug O'Bannon's big sister. Recently Doug had a scheduled/planned surgery and as a result has been suffering complications, particularly his liver. He was added to the transplant list this weekend; without a new liver, the doctors say he will not make it. The transplant surgery will be moderate to high risk, but at this time, the doctors believe the benefits outweigh the risks. In preparation for the surgery, Doug was to have a feeding tube placed. Due to complications, the doctors could not place the feeding tube, and he had to be intubated. We are waiting to see what the next steps are for his medical team. It’s been a difficult time for his family. Doug's fiance Val and his mom Shari have been with him most of the time, staying in Omaha, with visits from our Dad and other family members. Your monetary donations will ensure that Val is able to remain with him while taking off work, now, and the month following the surgery when he will be required to stay in Omaha with a family member/caregiver.
