Support for Avril and Doug Jones

Our friend Doug Jones was in a terrible multi-car accident on the 401 near Kingston on Sunday, December 1st, in which he sustained serious injuries from blunt force trauma. Doug is being well cared for in intensive care at Kingston General Hospital, where he is breathing with the help of a ventilator. His left rib cage has multiple breaks, which also damaged his lung and spleen. On Dec 5, Doug underwent surgery to re-plate his rib cage, which should make it possible for his left lung to re-inflate and to remove the ventilator so that and his healing can move ahead. 

As an independent craftsman, Doug's income is entirely dependent on his physical health. This devastating accident will have an immediate financial impact on Doug and Avril, at a time when their attention is best focused on healing and recovery.
