To all our friends and family
We are grateful and overwhelmed with the support everyone has shown through giving donations and messages of thoughts for Doug and all of us. Every bit helps us get through and the more we raise will go towards helping with supporting our family with everything else we may need to make this time less stressful. We can’t thank everyone enough and we’d appreciate if you continue to share and support the Gofundme.
Dear friends and family,
Our beautiful young man Dougie is no longer with us in person. Our amazing Daughter in law is now forced to face the world without him and we as a family (including his closest friends who will forever be family) do not even know where to begin in this impossible process. Words cannot describe the deep and real pain we feel. He is such a bright and cherished presence. A man that is an illuminating light to us all. He is a friend that makes you feel joy when you see his smile and hear his laugh. The best big Brother who used to help feed and bath his baby sister. Please speak of Doug in present tense for as long as you can, as he is here somewhere and we are not ready to believe he is gone. Moving forward isn’t something we can fathom.
Many of you who know us, know the losses and absolute devastation we have endured over the past few years, shamefully we admit it has left us, like many others, in a very tight financial position.
We would never ask for help but we need it now more than ever.
We kindly ask anyone willing to help to contribute towards Dougies farewell, (no matter how big or small) so we can give him the send off he deserves.
We have been extremely blessed with the life we have and we don’t like to ask for help but health concerns, back lash from Covid, family tragedies and so on have left us with no choice but to ask for help.
We as a collective we appreciate any support in making sure that we can financially cover our unexpected tragedy. If you don’t have the means to contribute we understand but would be ever so grateful if you shared this.
We wish this wasn’t reality.
