Douglas Witmer & Family

Hello! I am writing on behalf of my sister Susanna and husband Ray Witmer. Their son Douglas, 12 years, has been in the hospital since June 20 for what started as a ruptured appendix, which caused bowel blockage, and then ruptured bowel, and consequently infections, multiple surgeries and scans, and a 2 week+ hospital stay to date. And now the doctor on Douglas’ case says it could be another 3 weeks till he could come home. So far, Ray has been at the hospital the whole time, and Susanna has mostly been there as well, except for a few times she traveled home to be with the remaining six children. Douglas is the third son in the family, with two older brothers, two sisters under him, and then two more brothers. We are asking for donations to help them in this time of need, as Ray hasn’t been able to work for quite a time. And due to COVID, no one is allowed to see Douglas, besides his mom and dad, so the children have been meeting their parents at a park right by the hospital several times. Please pray for Douglas and the family, specifically that the incision site from his most recent surgery would heal up on its own, so that it wouldn’t need to result in another high risk surgery.
