Dougs Cardiac Rehab Treadmill

Hi everyone! As many of you know, my dad recently had a pretty big heart scare where they discovered a congenital abnormality in his heart. He will be undergoing open heart surgery with an aortic valve replacement and an aortic root and ascending aorta prosthetic on 12/14. After the surgery he will be on a long road to recovery. Part of his cardiac rehab is daily walks to increase his heart rate and get his heart strong and healthy again. Unfortunately, he will be spending many hours on his treadmill the next few months because he is not allowed to walk in the cold weather (puts more strain than necessary on the heart). Right now he has a very outdated treadmill that functions, yes, but is pretty much on its last mile. For Christmas I would love to surprise him with a new treadmill, hopefully a peloton tread + if we can raise the funds! Hopefully with an updated treadmill that has a screen and guided walks with scenic views he can do his rehab without getting too bored! As many of you also know, both of my parents have been hospitalized within the past month. Due to this, the medical bills we are expecting are quite large. My parents would be able to afford a new treadmill but they have both agreed to put it off until they know what the bills look like. It would be so cool to give back to my dad, the man that has given so much to everyone else! This a surprise to my family, so don’t spoil it(also he would kill me if he knew people pitched in and got him a gift)! But we appreciate any amount and cannot wait to give him the gift of a lifetime! And if you cannot give monetarily (we understand 2020 has been the pits!!), your thoughts and prayers mean the world to us. We love and appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to many more years with this incredible man!
