Down payment for Sacramento Ukrainian SDA Church

The Ukrainian Seventh Day Adventist Church of Sacramento is one of the three Adventist Ukrainian churches in the USA and the only one in California. We are a young congregation that was born only 5 years ago. We see that it was God's providence, because when a full-scale Russian invasion took place in Ukraine a year ago, our church became a refuge for many families, including women with children, who were escaping the war. The U4U program that works in the US helps a lot, but does not allow the people who come here to be financially independent. Therefore, our church is a great help in finding a job, a place to live. Also, we try to be a place where people who are fleeing war or have lived here for a while and are not yet familiar with God, can find hope and call our church home, where they can hear the Word of God in their native language, and their children can find communication and support. Thus, only in the last year, the attendance of our congregation has almost doubled (now it is 200 people attending). And what is especially important is that the church is very active in all types of ministries - musical (two choirs, instrumental and accapela groups, etc.), children's ministry (we have several children's clubs), Health club, ministry of collecting funds for Ukraine (last year our church wired $60k). The lack of space limits us a lot. This is the most difficult thing for us as church leaders is to realize that we cannot provide an opportunity for all volunteers and projects to take place due to lack of space. We have a lot of people who want to serve, thank God. There are ideas for creating a school of music, additional children's clubs. After a lot of prayers in the last year God has granted us with opportunity to buy a church building, owners of the church are willing to sell an incredibly beautiful building, a church that is ready for immediate use for $2.2 million. In our situation this is just a wonderful opportunity, in a certain sense it is a miracle. But since our congregation consists mainly of people who came here recently, we don't have enough funds. Our newcomers, brothers and sisters, are very hardworking, but it takes time to get back on their feet. Our goal is to collect money for a down payment ($550k) and we are short of $150k. Українська церква Сакраменто - одна із трьох адвентистських українських громад в США. Ми молода громада, яка була заснована 5 років тому. Зараз бачимо і розуміємо, що це було Боже провидіння. Адже, коли рік тому розпочалась повномасштабна війна Росії проти України, ми стали притулком для багатьох українських сімей, у тому числі жінок з діточками, які рятувались від війни. Програма тимчасового притулку в США не дає можливості українським біженцям одразу бути фінансово незалежними. Тому наша церква є потужною допомогою у тому, щоб знайти для них притулок, роботу і місце проживання. Також, наша церква є місцем, де люди, котрі ще не знайомі з Богом, можуть знайти надію і підтримку в цей складний час. Місцем, де вони можуть чути Слово Боже рідною мовою, а їхні діти знайти спілкування з однолітками. Тільки за останній рік відвідуваність нашої громади зросла майже удвічі (тепер це 200 чол.). І що особливо важливо, наша церква дуже активна у всіх видах служіння - музичному (два хори, інструментальні, акапельні колективи і т.д.), дитячому служінні (маємо декілька дитячих клубів), євангельському, служінні збору коштів для України (за рік ми передали в Україну 60 тисяч дол.). Відсутність нашого власного приміщення дуже обмежує наш ріст і служіння. Найважче для нас розуміти, що зараз ми не можемо забезпечити можливість росту церковного служіння, для проведення регулярних, додаткових та молитовних служінь, зустрічей клубів та репетицій. Є ідеї створення музичної школи та додаткових дитячих клубів, але для цього потрібна власна церква. Зараз Бог послав нам можливість придбати за 2,2 млн. дол. церковне приміщення, - церкву, готову для використання відразу. Для нас, - це просто чудова можливість і у певному розумінні чудо! Але, так як наша громада, складається в основному з людей, які приїхали в США нещодавно, ми не маємо достатньо коштів на перший внесок (550 тис. дол.), хоч при цьому ми спроможні платити щомісячні платежі. Наші брати і сестри дуже працьовиті, але потрібен час, щоб вони «встали на ноги» (стали фінансово незалежними). Просимо вас, підтримати, фінансовий збір на перший внесок для купівлі церкви для Української громади міста Сакраменто і хай добрий Господь віддячить вам у сто крат.
