Empower Children with Down Syndrome in Pakistan

Down Syndrome is the most common genetic chromosomal condition and also the most common cause of learning disabilities in children (MayoClinic).

We at Down Syndrome Club Pakistan are working to facilitate these differently-abled souls to challenge their odds. Maria, the founder's younger sister, inspired the ambition of this initiative. Being the family member of a child with Down Syndrome without the presence of any professional guidance helped her relate to the challenges being faced by thousands of families regularly. Our journey, from a local support group to an established public trust, has been nothing short of splendid. However, due to our economic and social challenges, we are yet to reach our maximum potential and amplify our impact.

To accomplish our goal of empowering these special needs children, we must have excellent, and specific, quality in therapies, classrooms, studios, occupational rooms, and play areas. However, due to a lack of resources, we are unable to meet the specifications and essential requirements to let them bloom into beautiful beings. Therefore the only solution is to redesign the existing space into a multi-program layout. More so, the current pandemic has disturbed our fundraising activities, making our pursuit even more challenging.
