Downsell Primary School are going to the beach!

Downsell Primary School is an amazing 2 / 3 form entry school situated in the borough of Waltham Forest.

The school places a great emphasis in providing cultural capital opportunities for all our children. The proportion of our children on the SEND register, experiencing deprivation and/or entitled to free school meals, is very high. These are the very reasons, why the school goes over and above in providing cultural capital opportunities for all our children, no matter what barriers they may face.   

We will be taking our children, from Reception to Year 6, to Canvey Island Beach. As part of Downsell's entitlement to our children, we seek to offer all of our children ten key life experiences over their time at Downsell and a visit to the beach is one of them. Many of our children have never experienced going to the beach before, and the feelings of joy, excitement and pleasure associated with it. We want all of our children to experience this and we are asking for your help to do this!
