Downtown New Providence Mural

The idea of turning a blank wall (exterior eastern side of Flip Consignment at 1279 Springfield Ave.) in downtown New Providence into a picturesque mural for the enjoyment of residents and businesses of New Providence as well as visitors and shoppers from other towns was borne years ago.

My name is Don Burkitt and, as a long-time resident of New Providence, father of three children in our school district, former leader of our Cub Scout Pack, and more recently a business owner in town (Harlee's Tap & Grille), I've discussed the idea of a downtown mural for years. I'd seen similar ones liven up downtowns elsewhere and, now with the approval of the owner of Flip Consignment and the available talents of our very own New Providence "Paint Diva" - Cindy Gelormini, we've begun the fundraising to make this a reality for New Providence!!

Although many residents have already made donations to this project at both Harlee's and Flip Consignment locations, I've received many requests to provide an online donation option. This GoFundMe now enables that option!

All donations, of any size, are appreciated as the sooner we reach our goal the sooner the town will have a mural for all to enjoy!!
