Doyle Keane - Madison Co-op Eagle Scout Project

Hi, my name is Doyle Keane, and I'm a Life Scout from Troop 25 in Madison NJ, preparing to become an Eagle Scout. 

I'm a senior this year at Madison High School in New Jersey, and just applying to colleges for next year. I've been a Madison resident for 16 years, and I went to preschool at the Madison Cooperative Nursery School.

 

The director Mrs. Cobb told me it would be a good idea to build new garden beds and outdoor coat racks for the courtyard, and I decided to make that my Eagle Project. 

I figured it would be a great way to give back to the school I graduated from so many years ago, and that it would really help the students of the co-op to learn about plants and gardening.

 

I plan on constructing two standing garden beds with benches that both the kids and adults will be able to access, and three outdoor coat racks for the courtyard, blacktop, and playground.

 

I will buy the majority of my materials from hardware stores like Jaeger Lumber, Ace Hardware, and The Home Depot. The current estimate for all materials is around 800$.

 

Any amount contributed will help my project greatly, and I appreciate any portion volunteers are able to contribute to the project. Your contributions will not only help me to finish this Eagle Project, but will also help all of the future generations of Co-op students who will be able to enjoy what will be build.
