Follicular Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma – I can’t even pronounce it and she’s fighting it!
Nancy Holmes Doyle is “chemo-bound” to fight this dastardly demon. Nancy, who is everyone’s strength and compassionate friend in down times. Nancy, who dances in the moonlight and drums to the beat of her and Connor’s drums! Nancy, who has committed her life to helping the disabled, the broken, the dis-owned; introducing them to life, to create their own living legend in a world that told them they couldn’t.
She, Steve, Connor and Liam are embarking on an exhausting journey, their hands, arms and hearts will be full enough without the worry and burden of the already mounting medical bills.
Steve will be the primary bread-winner and caretaker during Nancy’s treatments. Treatments will be debilitating and exhausting physically to Nancy and in turn, Steve.
Nancy will have to take time off from her work which compromises her already questionable insurance benefits tremendously and out-of-pocket costs will skyrocket.
So, I begged her, to take a “dose of humility” along with all the other “doses” she must deal with and allow me to ask ALL OF YOU for a dollar or two. PLEASE help my friend and her family.
EVERY PENNY – seriously! EVERY ONE! Adds up – and in times of need those pennies are hope. Please clean out your couch cushions, maybe some old wallets and bags and if you’re really feeling like “Paying it forward” hit your wallet and credit cards up!
There are no words to express the gratitude Nancy and Steve extend for all the prayers, love and hopefully cash forthcoming. No one should have to fight for their home when fighting for their life.
