Brenda Doyle & Family Lost Wages Fund

MOTHER OF 3, BRENDA DOYLE, AFTER RECEIVING HER BACK BRACE.

Mother of 3 suffers a broken back, hanging Christmas Lights.  As a result,  the family will face many medical bills but also, a loss of wages due to the healing process and down time.

The Doyle family has had a rough last couple months.

On Nov. 24th , just 3 weeks after losing his mother to cancer, Mike’s wife Brenda suffered a fall while hanging Christmas lights, and broke her back. Her L2 vertebrae was shattered on impact. Luckily, the break didn’t impact her spinal cord.
Brenda is okay, and will need to wear a back brace for 12 weeks while recovering. Her movement is extremely limited, and she needs to be extremely careful over the next several weeks to make sure the bone fragments don’t shift, which would result in a required surgery.
Obviously, medical bills are a concern. However, the primary concern is that Brenda will not be able to work for 12 weeks. Like many of us, they live paycheck-to-paycheck, and heavily rely on the family’s dual income. This accident, happening during the holidays, is yet another blow, with them trying to provide Christmas gifts for their 3 children, Madison (19), Leo (11), and Charlotte “Charilie” (7).
You may know Mike as a musician, artist, or member of The Virginian-Pilot family. He’s played many benefits over the last 20+ years and has enjoyed being an active member of the Hampton Roads music scene.
Brenda is a licensed vet tech, and has dedicated her life and career to helping others.
