Doyley's 331.8km Run Challenge for Mental Health
Hi all,
I’ve decided to take on the challenge again throughout the month of November by running 331.8km (11.06km a day). The number 3318 represents how many Australians lost their lives to suicide in 2019 - being the leading cause of death that year amongst 18-44yo. This number has risen from my distance achieved last year.
I have again chosen to raise awareness and funds for the Kai Eardley Foundation. They provide funding for Mental Health workshops to be delivered to high schools within WA. As a teacher I see first hand how important early introduction to these skills can be and how they could change lives.
You can follow my running through my Strava - https://www.strava.com/athletes/25442790 and I'll also post weekly updates to keep me accountable.
This is going to be a big challenge but it’s towards something I’m truly passionate about. If you can show your support through donating, running with me or even just sending me a motivating text/video that would be massive!
Thank you and wish me luck.
