DPD Officer Killed in Hit-in-Run Crash

On January 5th, 2025, around 12:30 am, our beloved Detroit Officer, Father, and Son - Cameron Richardson was tragically killed in a hit-and-run car crash on the east side of Detroit, Michigan. Cameron was not only an army veteran and a devoted DPD Officer, but he was also a loving father of two beautiful girls. Cameron was a bright, adventurous, and amazing soul who touched the lives of everyone he met. His untimely loss has left an indescribable void in our hearts.

As we navigate this painful time and await justice, we are raising proceeds for the family and for the future of Cameron’s two loving daughters. Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference for his girls and will help us honor Cameron’s memory as we lay him to rest.
