Kathy's Recovery

Hello. My mom was in a tragic accident, which is resulting in her having to be off of work for the next three months. She and her partner Mike were in the woods doing what they enjoy. Somehow, my mom turned into Mike while he also turned at the same time, and the blade from a brush cutter went into her leg. Mike was able to quickly react and put a tourniquet onto her leg to stop the bleeding. They immediately called 911 and they talked to my mom until they got there. She was taken by ambulance to Woodruff hospital. She went into emergency surgery a little after 6pm last night (Tuesday 4/25/2017). The doctor reported everything went well and she will remain in the hospital for a few nights. She will have a long recovery ahead of her, and could use any extra thoughts and prayers. This is going to be very hard for her. If any of you know her, she is a ‘go go go’ person. She works very hard and would never ask anybody for anything. Please keep her in your thoughts. Her medical insurance deductible is $6,500, which is where the goal is set to. If the goal is passed, anythign extra will go towards living expenses. Thank you for your kindness.
