Team Holly

Holly Anderson has been a major part of the North East Portland community and for years. As a kick-ass bartender she brings us joy and hilarity with her surly-sweetness. As a seamstress and dress maker she helps everybody feel confident and sexy with her clothing line for every body. As a mother she models strength, patience, kindness and badassery to her 9 year old daughter who is on the autism spectrum. 
Holly is one of our favorite people and Holly needs our help. 

As this holiday season starts Holly is preparing for a major surgery. She calls her daughter her miracle baby because she was told by her doctors that a lifetime of reproductive issues would make it nearly impossible to carry a baby to full term. She looks at her sweet girl daily and thanks the sun, moon and stars that she gets to have her. These ongoing reproductive issues have caused Holly the kind of pain no person should have to live with and she now needs a hysterectomy. Her surgery is scheduled for December 10th.

Holly's insurance will cover most of her medical bills, however she will be unable to work her very physical job as a bartender and a mother for up to three months and we, her co-workers and loved ones, worry about her ability to pay rent, bills and provide her special needs daughter with the care she needs as well as a Christmas she deserves. We will be putting out a special tip jar for Holly's customers to contribute to, as well as holding fundraisers and trading crafty cross stitches at the bar where she works for donations.
