Dr. Alec Kessler Memorial Scholarship Foundation

In honor of my late husband, The Dr. Alec Kessler Memorial Scholarship Foundation was established in 2008. This college scholarship goes to students that demonstrate both academic and athletic excellence, serious resolve, good citizenship, and integrity. Like Alec, these students have a strong work ethic and have demonstrated "Passion, pride, and purpose" throughout their high school years. Alec's basketball coach from the University of Georgia, Coach Hugh Durham, used those 3 words to described Alec and the way he always went about accomplishing the goals that he had set for himself. They have now become the mantra for the Dr. Alec Kessler Memorial Scholarship Foundation. 


The Dr. Alec Kessler Memorial Scholarship Foundation has given close to $100,000 in student/athlete scholarships since 2008. It is always my greatest honor to present these scholarships through Pensacola Sports at their Annual Senior Scholar-Athlete Awards event, which will be held on May 11th. 


Due to Covid-19, our goal is to award more scholarships to our student-athlete applicants. We would like to award 7 scholarships of $500 to senior student-athletes graduating from Santa Rosa, Escambia, and Okaloosa county. 100% of all the funds collected go directly to the scholarship recipients. Your support is greatly appreciated.
