Dr. Darrell Hucks Apartment Fire Recovery

Please don't share this publicly, but do share to other friends if you wish.

Our dear friend Dr. Darrell Hucks lost everything to an incredibly tragic fire on a record-breaking cold morning on Feb. 4th, 2023. After the fire started in a neighboring apartment, firefighters were able to wake Darrell in time to get him out of the building and to safety in temperatures well below -15F.

He got out, but all of his belongings are lost or damaged. He does have temporary housing that is furnished with the basics.

Darrell has always been hugely generous, and he is not asking for a lot right now, but everything does need to be replaced. Right now he needs bedding, towels, curtains, rugs, toiletries, all groceries, cleaning supplies, coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes, and all the other basics. Soon he will need new furniture.

Please contribute if you can, or share this post through email or private message. He has asked that we don't post it publicly. I will collect the money and give it directly to Darrell. It will go to providing the basics for his temporary housing, and ensuring that he can act quickly when the right new space comes up in our very tight housing market in Keene.
