My name is Liz, Heaton.

My Big Brother ‘s name is Dr David Heaton. 

Tragically, my brother, who everybody thought, had everything, lost his life to mental illness.

We want everyone to know that David was surrounded by love and support. 

He was actively seeking help for his depression and had very honest and heartfelt discussions with his friends and family about his struggles. 

Unfortunately mental illness can be very powerful and overwhelming even to those who seek help.

My brother loved his family fiercely, and it would be an understatement to say he will be missed dearly… 

He loved his job and fundraised for Ride for Farley every year, as it was a foundation he believed in. 

We have and will continue to support it always.
