Dr. Enas & Family: Urgent Escape From Gaza Danger
Donation protected
Dr. Enas Kaabar and her family urgently appeal for help in their desperate bid to escape the perilous situation in Gaza.
A Palestinian doctor, Dr. Enas Kaabar dedicated the last three years of her life to tirelessly serving and training as a doctor in Israel, particularly helping sick children. Earlier this year, she traveled to Australia to raise funds for the treatment of children from Africa and Palestine.
Tragically Dr. Enas was trapped in Gaza while visiting family and she lost her job at Wolfson Medical Center in Tel Aviv, plunging her into deep financial distress. Her story was verified by the Sydney Morning Herald of Australia: https://www.smh.com.au/national/this-palestinian-doctor-fundraised-in-melbourne-now-her-heart-breaks-as-children-die-in-gaza-20231208-p5eq80.html
Trapped in Gaza, Dr. Enas is responsible for her two children, Nizar (11) and Zain (7), her ailing mother, and her younger brother, Mohammed. Having already experienced displacement three times and losing their home, they find themselves in an impossible situation, fearing for their lives every minute.
This fundraiser aims to raise money to help Dr. Enas and her family escape Gaza to a safer place. Egyptian authorities at the Rafah crossing are currently charging $7,000 per adult to cross into Egypt to safety and we desperately plead for compassionate support. They have lost everything as a family and will need additional support to provide medical care for Enas's mom once they exit Gaza.
In the dire and dangerous situation in Gaza, Dr. Enas and her family find themselves in unimaginable circumstances. Forced to flee their home, they are currently residing in makeshift tents in the harsh cold weather. The struggle to secure even basic needs is real and pressing, with the ongoing conflict compounding the threat to their safety, leaving them in constant fear for their lives.
Living in such precarious conditions, Dr. Enas, her two children, her ailing mother, and her brother, Mohammed, face daily challenges to meet their most fundamental requirements. The urgency of their situation is heightened by the lack of adequate shelter, exposure to the elements, and the difficulty of accessing essential resources.
Your support in this fundraiser is not just about helping them cross the Rafah border; it's about providing immediate relief to a family grappling with the harsh realities of displacement, where the cold weather exacerbates an already dire situation. Your contributions will make a meaningful impact in alleviating their suffering and offering them a glimmer of hope in these trying times.
Thank you for extending your compassion to Dr. Enas and her family during this critical moment. All donated funds will go to Dr. Enas's sister in the United States before being transfered to Dr. Enas directly.
