The Dr. Evermor Sculpture Park, home of the Forevertron, and the world's largest scrap metal art park needs your help!
Located in the Town of Sumpter, Wisconsin, the park currently resides on land owned by Delaney's Surplus Sales. We have been given the opportunity to purchase the land back from Delaney's, so that we can continue to keep the sculpture park going FOREVER-MORE!
Our goal is to turn the sculpure park into a world class destination for all to enjoy even MORE of Dr. Evermor's work!
POWER ON FOR-EVERMOR!!!
Mission/Vision
The mission of the Dr. Evermor Sculpture Park is to preserve the legacy of the artistic creations of Tom O. Every, aka Dr. Evermor, a well-regarded visionary metal sculpturist who has captured the interest of many with his imaginative expressions.
Dr. Evermor’s work represents something that lives in all of us—untapped creative energy. He has fashioned a world that invokes a spiritual awakening in its humble observers. A visit to the park is more than an event to occupy an afternoon; it will remind you of your need to wonder and to believe in the unbelievable. There is a part of each of us that is not physical, that is not caught up in the mortal world’s boundaries. Although a mortal cannot know if his consciousness survives when his body fails, we cannot seem to satiate our need to feel at peace with what we are, and what our world is.
The Dr. Evermor Sculpture Park will provide a venue for the permanent home of the art collection that will draw thousands of visitors annually. We strive to provide a venue where visitors will be inspired to find their own creative artist or spiritual peace within themselves and be a home for participative meditation – taking in the energies of the sculptures.
We envision a time when the Dr. Evermor Sculpture Park will fulfill its mission by:
- Establishing a permanent home for the art collection (by purchasing the land it currently resides on)
- Providing the necessary restoration of Dr. Evermor’s artwork
- Creating an Educational Center – a home for budding artists to learn, create and study
- Providing a warehouse for donated materials for use by artists and students
- Hosting a Summer Concert Series
- Guiding tours for individuals, schools and other interested groups
- Creating a gathering space for private and community events
The Art Park has been in operation since 1983 and hosts thousands of visitors annually from across the seven continents. It is currently situated behind Delaney’s Surplus in Sumpter, WI. It operates five days weekly and derives its revenue from individual contributions and the sale of miniature sculptures, tee-shirts, books, films and various souvenir-like keepsakes.
Dr. Evermor has been featured on many TV shows and documentaries including: American Pickers (2013), Home Made (2013), Scrap (2010) Mana: Beyond Belief (2004), Modern Marvels(2002), Ripley’s Believe It or Not (2001). He has also been featured in many books and publications including the biography, A Mythic Obsession –The World of Dr. Evermor (Kupsch, Chicago Review Press, 2008).
