Dr. Michael passed away on January 3rd 2021 at the age of 56, but his life did not come to an end with his death. Greg has been described by those who knew him well as a “pure soul,” and a “citizen of the world.” He impacted the lives of many, near and far, and across continents. His death has left a void in those that knew, and loved him.
Dr. Michael was born in Miami, Florida, before attending college he had lived in Japan and traveled extensively. Dr. Michael attended University of Miami, St. Georges University Medical School and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. He was a Galloway Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. He was a clinical instructor for the PA program at Barry University and Miami Dade College. He was in private practice at Mount Sinai Medical Center where he helped to grow Miami one baby at a time.
Greg was an avid big game fisherman, to say the least. He loved to play Rock and Roll music on his guitars, especially duos with his beloved daughter. His disarming sense of humor served to put others at ease. He even used his humor in the last couple of days to not worry friends and family prior to his untimely death. Dr. Michael is survived by his wife Heidi; daughter Kiersten; mother Marilyn and brother Jonathan.
This is a request to collectively join hands and help this healer’s family. Our goal is to make sure that Greg’s family has what they need now, and going forward. If you would like to contribute, your generosity is greatly appreciated.
As we keep his family in our thoughts and prayers, we thank you for any help you can give. If you feel some else would like to contribute, please pass this onto them. Moments like these reaffirm our belief in humanity.
