Dr. Jerry Dixon Memorial and Foundation Initiative

Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
It is with heavy hearts that we share the devastating news of the loss of our beloved Dr Jerry Dixon. Dr Dixon brought so much joy, love, and light into our lives and his passing has left a profound void that words cannot express.
Dr Jerry Dixon left for a medical mission trip to the Philippines on February 14 with his good friend, Steve Warrick. Upon arriving in the country he felt severe shortness of breath and pain in his arm and was admitted to St. Luke's in Manila (known worldwide for great care). They diagnosed him with an acute, fast acting Leukemia. It didn’t take long before infections started popping up and growing quickly. After a challenging day for him on Monday afternoon, his wife Janet and son Jonathan departed from Arkansas to be with him. His son Jeremy was waiting on a new baby to arrive and his daughter Joanna was finishing a class. He continued declining with infections, strokes, bleeding, respiratory distress, then, eventually, organ failure. Peacefully, he passed away at 9:55am on March 2nd there in the Philippines (or 7:55pm on March 1st CST).
In the wake of this profound loss, we invite you to join us in establishing a memorial fund in Dr. Dixon's honor that will be used to create a new foundation. This foundation will serve as a lasting tribute to his memory, ensuring that he is remembered for the vibrant spirit, kindness, care and love he shared with all who were fortunate enough to know him.
We aim to honor Dr. Dixon's legacy supporting the causes that were dear to his heart: medical missions and pregnancy centers. A handwritten note was found in a journal with Dr. Dixon that said these two things are what he wanted to focus on for the rest of his life. Your generosity will ensure that Dr. Dixon's memory lives on, people receive the gospel and medical care around the world, and mothers and babies receive the love and care they need.
