Dr. Juan J. Remos Recovery
Donation protected
Dr. Juan Remos recently faced a tough battle with sepsis that left him intubated and in the hospital for nearly three weeks. While there, he suffered several strokes which have left him unable to walk and with limited mobility. Thankfully, he's been recuperating -- but the process is a slow, long one.
Dr. Remos has officially checked out of the hospital and has been placed in an acute rehab facility. But unfortunately, his insurance ends June 31st, and he will be left without the services he needs to get back to his normal self. The doctors estimate that it will be another six months before he's able to go back to work.
The facility he is currently in has agreed to allow him to stay until June 20th. After that, we will need to pay $1,500 for him to stay there for the next month.
We (his niece Laura and sister Ana in Miami) are asking for funds to help keep him his current location -- where he is doing well -- for at least another month. The stability and consistency of treatment will best equip him to recover.
We're also asking for funds to help sustain Dr. Remos for the six months he is without work -- he will need a place to live, food to eat, and a way to pay for his treatments.
Every little bit counts.
