Dr. Kevin Charles Pineda, DO

Dr. Kevin Pineda, DO, 29 passed away on November 9, 2022.

This fundraiser is to help honor Kevin and create a tribute/memorial to his contributions to the Rutgers PM&R residency program, and all remaining funds will go towards covering the family's funeral expenses.

Kevin was a beloved resident of the Class of '23's Rutger's New Jersey Medical School and Kessler Rehabilitation Residency Program. He provided his patients with the highest quality of care. He always took the time to ensure patients' needs were thoroughly addressed and repeatedly demonstrated sincere compassion and commitment.

In addition to being a great clinician, Kevin was dedicated to his fellow residents and trainees. He took immense pride in sharing his love and knowledge of Osteopathic Medicine and areas of special interest, including musculoskeletal ultrasound, lifestyle medicine, and amputee rehabilitation. He was a devoted teacher to his colleagues, staff and especially medical students. He had an infectious enthusiasm for enjoying many of life’s simple pleasures… food, friends, exercise, and fun. Dr. Pineda was always advocating for changes and improvements. He was engaged in the Medical School representing house staff in Rutgers' Committee of Interns and Residents Union (CIR), and he was well known for his commitment to keeping people safe during the Covid-19 pandemic that culminated in a book chapter of COVID-19 by Cases: A Pandemic Review.

Kevin also touched many lives prior to residency including during his intern year at Morristown Medical Center, his leadership with the Student Osteopathic Medical Association while at TouroCOM – Middletown, and through his various online and in person endeavors. We will remember him the most for his tremendous capacity to give to others and for his unique, heart-warming laugh.
