Dr Larry Gilliam

Hi, I’m Natasha McCuin and I am fundraising for our dear friend Dr. Larry Gilliam.

I come to you today with a heavy heart. I have been in close contact with Zachary Gilliam and the rest of the family as they journey through this stage of losing a loved one. It is never easy to experience a loss. There are no words to describe the overwhelming sense of pain that is felt when someone you care about moves to the other side of eternity or as Dr. G would say, graduating to heaven. We all know he is in a better place but there is still the reality and the fact that Dr. G desperately needs your help!
Now we all know Dr Gilliam was never one to ask for money and always did more giving than receiving. We are asking that you consider helping since he has help so many of us over the years by pouring into each of us.
Due to the rising cost of maintaining his medical and living needs while in the nursing home as well as an economic strain, I am so sorry to report that there just isn’t enough resources to accommodate the burial and funeral services.

We ask that you prayerfully consider supporting the family in the laying to rest of Dr G, who was such an amazing, God fearing man that touched us all. Please help the family so that Dr Gilliam is laid to rest with dignity and honor just as he deserves.

I am here to answer any questions you may have.

Due to the increased fraud online we are asking that if the Lord moves your heart to donate to our beloved Dr Gilliam, you only donate to this fund. This is the ONLY fund dedicated to paying for the funeral and burial expenses.

Please read the kind words from the family about Dr Larry Gilliam’s life and legacy.

A dedicated professional, Dr. Gilliam made significant contributions in the fields of counseling, Christian ministry and life coaching. He was deeply admired for his work at Dayspring Counseling and the Life Coaching Institute, where he helped countless individuals harness their potential. His spiritual bond was strengthened through his involvement in numerous church ministries, Bible Studies and his love for teaching others through humour and witty stories. His love for music started early in life when he was in the LaVega High School band as first chair trumpet. After high school, he attended Baylor University and completed his doctorate degree. He also followed his love of music by playing guitar, singing in many quartets, and traveling the United States sharing his talents. His love for music carried through to later in life directing many youth choirs and a college chorale. He mentored many students in their personal and professional lives and taught them how to grow in their relationship and journey with God.
More than his professional accomplishments, Dr. Gilliam will be remembered for his personal virtues. He taught those around him how to love oneself, and the importance of forgiveness. His sense of humor was renowned, with a corny joke for anyone ready to listen and always ready to lighten any situation.
The legacy Dr. Gilliam leaves behind is a Legacy of Kindness. He dedicated his life to helping others through counseling, seminars, and education classes. His wisdom and compassion will continue to inspire all those who knew him.
He is survived by his two daughters, Valerie Gilliam and Stephanie Albright, and two grandchildren, Zachary Gilliam and Hannah Albright.
As we remember Dr. Gilliam, let us honor his life by extending kindness and care to others, just as he would have wished.
