Dr. Marinus C. Iwuchukwu

My name is Austin Asogwa. I am a very close family friend of Dr. Marinus C. Iwuchukwu, an extremely warm-hearted, responsive and beloved person whose life path was prematurely cut short unfairly and violently by his own wife. We will remember him forever as a kind, respectful, peaceful, generous and outstanding friend who always helped and cared for anyone who was in need.

I am creating this fundraising to help, support and show love to his devastated family. Needless to say, he financially supported and cared for most of his family in Africa. Despite their desire and incredible efforts to cope with the difficult situation themselves, I am witnessing their financial weakness and the impasse into which they have fallen. Dr. Marinus C. Iwuchukwu and the rest of his siblings were brought up to always give and help others, rely only on themselves in difficulties, bother nobody, and ask and expect nothing from no one. They will not complain. They are not taught to beg nor to surrender. They bear everything in silence. In addition to dealing with the grief of the huge loss of a loved one, they also have to deal with the costs of a funeral, lawyers, and many other administrative procedures and expenses that pop up daily in a country where they are all alone.

This is the reason why I, as a friend, am asking for help and interceding for them. I am helping as much as I can, but they need a lot more support than I alone can provide. Please, let us help the family to take care of and send off their loved one with dignity. To show with all our hearts, for the last time our appreciation, respect, and love for Dr. Marinus C. Iwuchukwu, a wonderful and caring friend, colleague, professor and teacher who was always there for us.
