Dr. Oliver George McGee III - Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Our dear Uncle, Dr. Oliver McGee III passed away at the age of 62 on Sunday, June 7th, 2020 at 1:05pm. Uncle Oliver fought a hard battle with stage 4 cancer. Our family is devastated, especially his sister, our beautiful mom, Brenda McGee. In the past five years, she has now tragically lost both of her only siblings to stage 4 cancer. Our aunt passed away in 2015. Our mom and her siblings were extremely close. Their love for each other was so deep. We are thankful to everyone for their generosity, prayers, condolences, and support. We are setting up this GoFundMe account to help with the funeral, memorial cost, and other family basic needs during this unfortunate time.
We know he touched a lot of people’s lives. He was a mentor, friend, professor, colleague, scientist, writer, and just an overall difference maker. We miss our Uncle Oliver and we are proud of his success and the contribution he gave to the world. His brilliance, his light, his humor, his teachings, and his leadership is a legacy we want to honor and to live on.
We want to relieve some of the financial burdens from my mother as she works to cope with this tremendous loss. We have received a lot of interest from people wanting to attend his memorial service, and we want to be able to accommodate everyone. With your help, we hope we can continue his legacy by keeping his memory shining bright.
We ask for any assistance you can give, it would be a true blessing to the family. Thank you so much in advance!
