Dr Rameshchandra Lalji Mehta

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Dr Rameshchandra Laljibhai Mehta passed away peacefully at home on Friday 22nd December 2023 in Leicester (UK), aged 75 years.

In lieu of flowers at the funeral ceremony, the Mehta family would appreciate a charitable donation either in person at the funeral, or online via this portal. All donations collected will be sent to the British Heart Foundation to support research into heart disease.

Rameshbhai was beloved husband to Shashiben, father to Viren, father-in-law to Versha, and grandfather to Neel and Jiya.

He was the son of Late Laljibhai Kasalchand Mehta and Late Manglaben Mehta, brother to Jyotsna, Jayshree, Mahesh, Rajesh and Late Darshna. He was brother-in-law to Late Rameshchandra Modi, Mina, Neela and Hitendra Sheth.

Rameshbhai was one of the pioneers who established The Jain Centre in Leicester, and was a pillar of the Jain community having previously served as President and Trustee of Jain Samaj Europe. He will be remembered forever for his tireless effort and dedication, his kindness, compassion and warmth which touched so many lives across the world.
