In memory of Dr Salman Anwar

We are deeply saddened to announce the tragic passing of Dr. Salman Anwar on July 18th. He was sadly struck by a car while travelling home on his motorcycle.

Dr. Anwar joined the Newmarket medical community after completing his training in Saskatchewan. He was a valued team member of the Newmarket Rheumatology Consultants, The Centre of Arthritis Excellence and Southlake Regional Hospital. He will be remembered as a kind, compassionate, hard working and dedicated physician by his patients and colleagues. Dr. Anwar was known for his ever-present sense of humor and positive attitude. He had an extraordinary ability to make everyone around him laugh and feel uplifted.

Outside of his professional life, his many passions included skiing, gardening, computers and technology, and, most importantly, spending time with his beloved family and friends. He was a devoted father to his son, Sammi, and a loving husband to his wife, Noor. We will remember the way he always brightened up when speaking of his family.
