Dr. Santosh Kumar Padala, a distinguished Cardiologist, passed away unexpectedly at age 39 while exercising and suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. Ironically, this was the very same condition he passionately researched and saved somany of his patients from as an Electrophysiologist and Assistant Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Being a true family man, Santosh treasured hisloving wife Divya and two adorable daughters, Ariana (age 8) and Amyra (age 5). His entire family, circle of friends, and co-workers were constantly inspired by his positive energy, universal brilliance, and contagious kindness. Santosh’s untimely passing is a not only a devastating shock for those near and dear, but also the entire field of Cardiac Electrophysiology and academic medicine.
As a dedicated father, loving husband, cutting edge researcher, dynamic teacher, engaging mentor, and compassionate cardiologist, Santosh embodied everything about being a good person: humility, kindness, empathy, honesty, forgiveness, sacrifice, unconditional love, and selfless service to humanity.
Cardiac Electrophysiology was Santosh’s passion and divine calling from an early age. He scaled new heights with pioneering and revolutionary research in left bundle branch area pacing to keep the heart in proper rhythm and efficiency. The lives Santosh saved and families he touched are too numerous to count. Because of Santosh, those patients had meaningful quality lives worth living.
After almost 20 of medical training, Santosh was able to devote more quality time with his wife and daughters and providing them with the beautiful life he always dreamt of. However, Santosh’s own heart failed him, and he was taken away from this world far too soon. Santosh’sdream remains shattered.
This memorial fund is dedicated to Dr. SantoshKumar Padala and his love for his family and friends, patients, and humanity he served with every heartbeat during his short, but extremely accomplished lifetime. There are not enoughwords to fully capture the essence of a legend that gave so much to so many. And now, it is our turn to give back to Santosh and his family. Funds raised will go toward the needs of Santosh’s family and his commitment to educating his daughters. Help make Santosh’s dream a reality.
The Padala and Kosgi families express deep gratitude for the continued outpouring of prayers, love, and support.
