Dr. Vic's DMA Recital Project
Donation protected
Greetings friends, family, and colleagues ~
I ask for your support in this major chapter of my musical life: the completion of my Doctorate of Musical Arts at Northwestern University, where I have been studying orchestral conducting with maestro Victor Yampolsky. For my Final Dissertation Recital, I have hired a chamber orchestra of professional musicians to perform and record the music of Heumann and Brahms, and we need your financial support!
Our performance is Tuesday, June 22 at 6:00p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church on Arlington Rd. in Jacksonville.
Please come be with us in person if you are able! The concert is free, with donations encouraged, and our video recordings will be available afterwards for everyone to enjoy!
We will premier a piece by my dear friend Eric Heumann - Celestial Objects - (inspired by his new telescope) that he composed specifically for me and this project. We will also play a radiant rarity by Johannes Brahms - Serenade No.1 - in a reconstruction of its original format for chamber ensemble.
Above and beyond the joy of making music again, these videos will be invaluable to me as an emerging conductor.
Please help with any amount that is comfortable for you!
Any funds received beyond the goal will go directly to the artists, and may also lead to future projects. Venmo, PayPal, Zelle, check, and other payment options also work :)
And I hope you will be in touch! After this long year of limited contact, I would love for this project to renew friendships <3
Thank you all ~
