Crisis Situation

First and foremost.... I am terribly embarrassed and ashamed it has come to this. A Gofundme page. :(

This is not what I want to do.

Unfortunately, I don't know what else to do. I have reached out to local resources and one did help a little with my electricity. But it's a one time per year deal. Dept of Social Services goes by your income the prior month and I do not qualify. Also, due to my age... through them... assistance is minimal.  I truly regret having to even ask for help. I am so very sorry. 

I am 50 years old. I am a mother, grandmother and caretaker of my own Mother, who is 77 years old. 

Last year, 2018, I lost my job of 4 years due to having major oral surgery that did not go as expected and I had to take short term disability for about 3-4 weeks. I went back to work early by one week and stayed in constant communication with the VP of Operations. Upon my return to work, I was told that because they didn't know when I would be back, they had to fill my position and there was no longer a place for me. Just a couple of weeks prior to that, I also lost a home, that I rented and loved,  because I allowed my adult son, granddaughter and his dog to stay at my home after he moved back from out of state. Yes, I knew, no roommates allowed, but it is my only child and grandchild, and was temporary. When I lost my job, along with my home, and my teeth, all in 4 weeks, it took a heavy emotional toll on me. While driving and crying heavily, I totaled my car. I had it fixed and it's now a salvaged vehicle, so I can't carry full coverage. I moved in with a friend, collected unemployment but ultimately had an emotional breakdown and ended up in the hospital for 4 days. I no longer wanted to live. 

After about 4 months, I obtained work again. But... It was out of my experience. I am an insurance girl. The job was selling auto dealership technology via telemarketing. I had about 6 months to make a sale. A HARD sale. 

On January 11,2019... I was advised that due to my inability to close a deal... We were parting ways. :(

I had just moved into my own rental home in October and shortly after, my Mom received notice that they would not be renewing her lease, of 6 years, due to an increase in rent. Her SSI is so low, she can't even apply for an apartment elsewhere and she had to move in with me. She was devasted and became extremely depressed over losing the home she loved.  There, she was able to volunteer with Loaves and Fishes. Her Church was 2 blocks away and she was able to walk to her pharmacy. At her age, change is extremely difficult. 

Around the last week of December, she began to decline. This was the week after she moved. She started vomiting excessively and would not eat. I took her to the hospital 3 times before she was admitted and she was there for a little over a week, then transferred to rehab to gain strength and start eating. As of February 6th, she is back at the hospital and in critical care. Fever, unable to eat, and extremely weak. Many test have been done but all are negative. She is declining quickly. Once they have ruled out any other causes, we will look into possible cancer. Please pray for my Mama. 

I have been out of work since January 11, 2019 and have now ran completely out of money. No savings or anything to help. 

I cannot collect unemployment due to a rule that only allows you to file once per year. I can't file again until June, 2019. 

The only income now is my Mother's which is the exact amount of the rent. 

I have been interviewing for jobs, but nothing has came through yet. I have 4 interviews next week, so I am hopeful but also panicked. The bills don't stop due to the situation. I must be able to take care of my mom and our expenses. 

Additionally, when I had my car repaired last year, they failed to do something pertaining to my alignment which requires some sort of hole to be bored. I did not have the funds to fix it. It is now on the verge of breaking down and if it does it will reverse all of the almost $1400.00 I paid to fix it. It's my only transportation. 

Unfortunately, my adult son's vehicle and only means of transportation also broke down last week and it's the transmission. Ugh! I am his means to get back and forth to work for a job he just started. He has an almost 4 years old daughter and a single father. Whom I care for while he is working, outside of daycare. 

I am asking for help, because... I have ran out of funds. I need gas to travel back and forth to interviews, be with my mom, help care for my son's dog while he is out of town working. Get my granddaughter to daycare. I have insurance expenses coming up. Both auto and renter's. I have prepaid power,  because it was less expensive for me to move in and I only have $50.00 left on the account. Other bills. All totaling about $1000 more per month, in addition to our rent. 

I have always been a "rescuer" of animals and people. I try my best to be a good person and help others. I am a believer of God. I know he had a plan, but I also know I have to do my part. I feel pretty confident I should obtain new employment in the next few eeeks but even then, it will be 2-3 weeks before I see income.

I need help to stay afloat. I'm scared and panicked. I do not have any family to help and my close and small network of friends are doing all they can. 

If you have it in your heart to help... All funds are going to living expenses. If I find employment and there are extra funds... They will go back to the community in the form of animal or human assistance. I will not use anything I don't need for survival. 

Please forgive me for even asking but I am scared and at a loss in what to do now.
