2024 Annual Drag Isn't Dangerous Fund
Donation protected
We're back and need your help for this important 2024 election year!
This year, our focus will be registering new voters and motivating existing voters to pledge to turn up to the polls.
Voter apathy continues to be a huge problem among younger people, and the LGBTQIA+ community is unfortunately no exception. According to a 2022 Report by the Human Rights Campaign and Bowling Green State University, LGBTQIA+ voters are projected to represent one in seven voters by 2030 and surge to nearly one in five by 2040. Our voices matter!
This year we want more planning time and sustained efforts throughout the year.
We are partnering with “Drag Out The Vote,” an organization well aligned with our goals and already entrenched in our community. They will lead voter registration, education, and engagement efforts and we will support by providing funding, talent and organizing events with them.
We are also partnering with SERV Vodka for a series of live activations in queer spaces, geared toward collecting pledges to vote, allowing us to reach more folks for our telethon that will take place at the end of July.
The following organizations have been named as beneficiaries, with more to come:
- Black Queer Town Hall
- Drag Out the Vote
Black Queer Town Hall will be the beneficiary/fiscal sponsor of our fundraiser again this year, and we'll be finalizing other organizations who will receive a portion of the donations raised. We will update this fundraiser with all benefiting organizations throughout the year, so stay tuned!
We hope you'll consider teaming up with us again to create an impact this year, by donating and sharing our fundraiser with your friends and family. We will put these funds to work immediately to achieve our 2024 goals!
We're looking forward to what we can accomplish in 2024.
More about Drag Isn't Dangerous:
Last year Producer Entertainment Group founded the charitable arm of our company, under the DBA Drag Isn’t Dangerous. We raised about $600k for LGBTQ charities to fight back against drag bans and discriminatory legislation. We could not have done it without the collective help of our partners, talent, friends, and most importantly, donors.
With your generous contributions, we were able to help the following charitable and cause related organizations with our 2023 telethon: Black Queer Town Hall, the ACLU’s Drag Defense Fund, GLAAD, GLSEN, The Trans Justice Funding Project, Headcount, and the Victory Institute, as well as several other miscellaneous organizations who reach out to us.
