Please Help Jovan Andjelic Family – Cancer

Dear Friends,

Many of you reading this may already know that Jovan has been diagnosed with cancer. In February of 2021, Jovan had fallen in his house and injured his back and was unable to return to work. The next several months Jovan had issues with his stomach where he was unable to eat and lost a considerable amount of weight. After many tests and hospital visits, in May 2022 he was diagnosed with gastric cancer. He underwent 7 cycles of chemo and concurrently 25 cycles of radiation. This combination tremendously weakened Jovan and put a strain on his family financially and emotionally.

Unfortunately, on April 17, 2024, Jovan received the bad news with his eldest son Nikola by his side that the cancer had come back and spread. Jovan, Tomislava and their 3 sons Nikola, Ilija & Lazar were devastated. This is not curable, and the main treatment is palliative systemic therapy with a goal of extending survival.

For those of you who know Jovan, know that he is a very kind, generous and caring person. He is always ready to help a friend in need when asked even if he physically couldn’t. “No” was not in his vocabulary.

He was the main source of income for his family. Presently, he is not receiving any financial support. He was always eager to help others and now it is time we return the favour, and we help him.
