Cancer reaches its tentacles into the lives of thousands. It is very likely you know and love someone who has been touched by cancer’s debilitating effects.

Dragon Boat Charleston’s mission is to promote the physical and mental well-being of cancer survivors. We embrace cancer survivors and arm them with the resources and camaraderie to overcome the devastating effects of this disease.

Paddles & Pearls, a diverse and dynamic team of breast cancer survivors, is one of several teams supported by Dragon Boat Charleston. We are an all-breast cancer team that welcomes new paddlers every year, and builds camaraderie, confidence, and stamina by putting them in the boat and encouraging them to find the strength they have within!!

Paddles and Pearls is asking for your support to get our team to the 2018 International Breast Cancer Survivors Paddlers Commission Festival in Florence, Italy in July, 2018. Over 100 breast cancer teams from around the world will compete in this special event that occurs every four years. Your donation will help us meet our vision to redefine cancer survivorship and gain ground in the battle against the effects of cancer.
