Dragonators’ PPE Face Shield Campaign
Tax deductible
Front line healthcare workers across the country are in desperate need of personal protective equipment and we need your help! Our goal is to produce as many face shields as possible for distribution to health care workers in need across the Delaware Valley/Tri-State Area.
The Dragonators are a FIRST Tech Challenge Robotics team based in Southern New Jersey. We are 13 students from 6 schools and are a proud member of South Jersey Robotics.
With the generous funding of several local businesses and a number of private donations, our team has already produced over 150 PPEs but the demand keeps growing. As of this writing we are committed to delivering 350 face shields to local hospitals and elder care communities in the next few weeks with more on the way.
Because of the high demand of PPE in our area, we are collaborating with our sister team, Velocity with South Jersey Robotics, Inc. to help print, assemble and ship to local facilities. We are very grateful for their help in this time of need.
Our supplies are running low, and many materials are difficult to obtain. Your donation will be used to purchase 3D printer filament, elastic bands, and the materials required to make the clear visor. Additional funds will go to cleaning supplies, hardware, and other materials required to produce our shields in sanitary conditions.
Donations will be delivered to our parent organization, South Jersey Robotics, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your donation will be used to support the team in producing face shields. If any supplies or hardware remain after the crisis, South Jersey Robotics will use those goods for our teams and future volunteer efforts.
Dragonators team members are performing this work under the supervision of team coaches, mentors, and their parents. Tasks are divided in assembly line fashion so as many team members can participate as possible.
If you cannot provide financial assistance at this time, donations of materials also help! If you have any questions please contact:
