The Aron Regimen for the treatment of atopic eczema has been transforming the lives of eczema sufferers for decades. Pioneered by Dr Richard Aron, it has been so successful that Dr Aron opened an online consultation service (www.draron.com) in 2008 so that he could help patients around the world.
Over 10,000 patients later and with a mass of empirical evidence available, there is now a clinical trial afoot, being carried out by Dr Hlela of the Red Cross Hospital in Cape Town alongside Dr Aron.
The trial, called "Efficacy of combining topical antibiotic/steroid/moisturiser in treating atopic dermatitis", is a major stepping stone in investigating the place of staph aureus bacteria in activating and maintaining atopic eczema. If successful, the trial will form a crucial first step in the research available to support the Aron Regimen, enabling more children and adults to benefit from it in the future.
YOUR HELP IS REQUIRED - a drug company is providing the drugs required for the trial but around 37,000 Rand / 3000 GBP / 3700 USD / 4800 AUD is required to meet the expected cost of blood tests, patient stipends and administration costs.
