Rally Around the Ruholls
Donation protected
Dustin and Tasha Ruholl joyfully welcomed their little boy, Drasen Thomas, on Friday, October 23, 2015, at 11:23 p.m. He weighed 5 lbs. 15 oz. and was 20.5 inches long.
Drasen was born with rare complications - esophageal atresia and a tracheal esophageal fistula (TEF). The top portion of his esophagus was not attached to his stomach - it was closed off. The other end of his esophagus was attached to his stomach and trachea.
On Saturday, October 24, Drasen was airlifted from Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign to Children’s Hospital of Illinois in Peoria.
Drasen had surgery on Sunday, October 25 to disconnect his esophagus from his trachea and attach the esophagus together. The surgery was successful - the esophagus is now connected.
The little man is now on the road to recovery. Drasen and his family need your support so please “Rally Around the Ruholls!”
This page is set up to give family and friends who want to help an easy way to do so. Donations will help defray medical expenses. #dollarsfordrasen
The Ruholl and Stevens families are very grateful for your continued thoughts and prayers.
