Draven Smith High School student

Hello, my name is Deidre Smith and I am trying to raise money for legal fees associated with legal fees to fight the libel and hearsay being used to make an example of my stepson while the actual guilty party continues to attend school. We are only asking for help because lawyer fees are not so easy to come by when two of his four parents are disabled. Imagine your child being falsely accused as a senior in High School and in his final semester after years of hardwork based on mere hearsay formulated by bullies. We pray you never have to face this same nightmare. While many want to jump to conclusions without any facts, the majority of the community are not only defending our son in social media but sending us prayers and rallying behind us. We realize that every parent claims their child is “sweet and innocent and a good boy/child” but when teachers, administrators and adults and children from all backgrounds and professions rush to defend Draven’s name and his heart. Ask yourself, does a guilty party usually say “I don’t want anyone to ever be afraid of me Mom” tears in his eyes while trying to be calm and focused is something most adults cannot do while being accused of lies. We are being told by children in the same classroom that the police are not listening to them as they continue to give statements that our son did NOT say the words he is being accused of saying. We are hearing that the child who did in fact say terrible threats is tied directly to our local law enforcement but we have not confirmed that officially so we are trying to avoid treating others with the same disdain and lies that have placed Draven and his friends and family in this heartbreaking situation. Draven is the kid who volunteers to help neighbors, friends and family and expect nothing in return and he is trying to comfort all of us when he is, of course, terrified. Any and all help is going directly to legal fees so his name can be cleared and prevent this from ruining his life.
