Drawing Tablet for FAITH Rotoscoped Cutscenes

Airdorf here. For the past several years I've been making my hand-drawn animated cutscenes for my indie horror game FAITH The Unholy Trilogy , using a mouse to draw over video footage frame-by-frame at 15 frames per second.


This is a very tedious process and, using a mouse, a single cutscene can take all day. On top of that, using a mouse gets really uncomfortable after a while.

Last Fall I had access to a display tablet which I could just draw directly on and it basically cut my production time in half for each cutscene. Unfortunately, due to Covid-19 I no longer have access to that tablet.

I've got some really cool ideas in mind for FAITH: Chapter III's cutscenes. In the interest of finishing FAITH: The Unholy Trinity as soon as I can and delivering the scariest indie horror experience possible, I'm looking to purchase a display tablet for myself sometime this month.

As it happens to be my (real) birthday this week, I'm opening this GoFundMe for those who are able and would like to contribute to the development of FAITH: The Unholy Trinity. Your donations would help alleviate the cost of the tablet which is in addition to our newly-discovered childcare costs, healthcare bills, etc. I realize that now, more than ever, your money can be put to better use and for greater causes elsewhere. Purchasing this tablet would mean I can work on FAITH's handcrafted cutscenes more efficiently, which means I won't get burnt out after each one. It will also save me some pain by avoiding using a mouse.
