Drayton Valley Fire Takes Life of Beloved Horse

Alexandra and Andrew and their 3 horses left Calgary last year during Covid to serve the community and children of Drayton Valley. They are both amazing, vibrant and selfless teachers at Drayton Christian School.

During the mass of wildfire in Drayton Valley, they and their horses were forced to evacuate their home. Some of their beautiful land succumbed to the fire, but thankfully their house was spared. Generous volunteers helped them evacuate their horses but in the process, Alexandra’s most beloved horse Viva, (Who is also a wedding present) was injured and on Saturday it succumbed to its injuries. This is devastating news to Alexandra who has spent years training and loving this horse, which any horse person knows is like a family member.

We would love for all who know and love them, or anyone who knows what it’s like to love a horse, to consider contributing to help her be able to get a new family member. We are so thankful for them in this community, and would love to see them blessed.
