Drayton’s Recovery #PrayForDray

Drayton, aka Baby Dray, has gone through more than any of us could probably imagine. Shortly after he was born, Drayton was diagnosed with Meningitis and Encephalitis, which were both contributing factors in his later diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy. That said, those who know Dray know that he’s sweeter, kinder, funnier, and wittier than any of us could ever be!! He’s a prankster and a flirt, his personality has never been overshadowed by his medical conditions. Simply put…to know Drayton, is to love Drayton.

Over the holiday season Baby Dray contracted pneumonia in both of his lungs and was also diagnosed with parainfluenza. While Ali, Ivan, and the family are entirely grateful for the wonderful medical care that Drayton is receiving, they are still facing ups and downs with Dray, as his little body is doing it’s best to recover.

Drayton’s best friend and baby brother Kingston, also caught a cold this month and Ali and Ivan have tried to balance their time between the two boys, while knowing that they have to be extremely careful, so as not to expose Drayton to any contaminants, especially while he’s hospitalized.

This family has had a long Holiday Season, with little rest but a lot of worry. Christmas was spent in and out of a hospital, trying to balance bills and payments, after having to be out of work for the last few weeks. And New Years will be brought in the same way..
