Chicago Dread Head Cowboy
Donation protected
I was born and raised in the inner city of Chicago. I never seen a live horse until 4 years ago and I fell in love. Learning how to ride the horse gave me a sense of pride. I thought about all the kids in the inner city of Chicago that have never seen a live horse before. I knew this would be something different and exciting for them. I decided to take my horse for a ride in my community and the reaction was simply amazing. Not only were the kids excited but the adults as well because they identified they’ve never seen a live horse either. I started allowing the kids to ride my horse and families to take pictures with my horse. I received a lot of positive feed back from people asking if I could come to their area after seeing me on multiple people social media. I’m asking if you can donate to help me continue going to different neighborhoods in different inner cities in the Midwest. I will need the funds for gas to go from place to place, food for my horses, cleaning supplies, trailer, and up keep of the horses.
THE BIGGER PICTURE:
Im working on finding a vacant acre of land in Chicago to build a barn in the city. The barn will be a center for children to come learn how to take care of horses and ride them. The barn will have different programs for all children of all ages during school and after school. We will have professional working with the children and the horses. This barn in the city will give children a sense of equality as the children that are more fortunate in other areas of Illinois. The children will build skills of leadership, ownership, discipline and pride. This barn will be therapeutic for the children and the community.
