DREAM Action NIU - 2019 DACA Fundraiser

DREAM Action NIU is hosting a DACA renewal workshop on February 23rd with Immigration Lawyer Jeremy Lime, who is waiving his legal fees. We are gathering funds to pay for DACA renewals. DACA recipients are highly encouraged to renew if their DACA expires before February 23rd of 2020 or sooner!

Your donation will help current DACA recipients facing financial hardship to apply for renewal of a two-year work authorization permit and a reprieve from deportation. If DACA recipients are unable to raise the necessary funds, they are highly likely to be terminated from their jobs, face risk of homelessness, and an increased risk of deportation. Many DACA recipients financially contribute to their families, in addition to, supporting themselves and this is likely to create a further financial burden on their families as well!

All funds raised will ONLY go towards application processing fees of eligible DACA applications! while we do not know what the future holds in terms of legislation for DACA recipients, your donation will decrease the sudden financial hardship of DACAmented people trying to find $495 or more in a short period of time.
