Dream Cut Short: Help Finish LM Animal Sanctuary

Little Mountain Animal Sanctuary is the beautiful, lifelong dream of an amazing, kind, and compassionate woman, Sharon-Marie Rhoads/Kozar. In November 2022, Sharon-Marie lost her long and courageous battle with cancer, never seeing her dream come true. It is heartbreaking since those that knew her heard her talk often about this dream. She even left her successful corporate job to make it a reality, moving 500+ miles from Pennsylvania to Ohio to purchase a farm she loved. She said the farm made her feel so at peace, serene, and blessed that she told her Priest that if she had to pick a place to pass, it would be on her Farm at Little Mountain.

Since Sharon-Marie's passing last year, family and friends' funding and various volunteers' time have been generously donated into transforming the grounds into a loving haven for animals in need of a safe, forever home. There are 4 large barns and 7 enclosed pastures at the Sanctuary. The barns have been renovated, painted, and restored (one of them being a century-old barn!) with new, softer flooring safer for animals’ paws/feet. The pasture fencing has been updated and overgrown landscaping has been cut back.
