I had a tumor on my left kidney back when I was a kid in 1990. The doctor's cut the kidney out, and I went through Chemo and am a (basically fully functioning?) adult today. The picture above is me in the hospital back in 1990.
Larry Moore from Ch 9 news is a spokesperson for the Dream Factory . If you've never heard of it, they let super sick kids make a wish and then they fulfill it. Meeting Justin Bieber, going to Disney World, etc. Just check out all of the amazing stories on their Facebook page .

Larry gave me my first Jeep when I was 5 years old as my wish. See attached. Thank you to the dream factory for boosting my spirits, and even giving me something that was USEFUL since it was hard for me to ride a bike and keep up with my friends after chemo.

Anyway I just got a call from Larry. They do these little follow-up segments every once in awhile. Instead of showing a sick kid every night on the news, sometimes they show us as functioning people who are super appreciative of the effort that the Dream Factory goes through for these kids.
Larry wants to do a video follow up and interview me but I have an idea. I am excited to show him that I have REAL wrangler now! BUT I thought what would be even cooler would be if I could help raise a little donation money for the dream factory and give him back a check for a couple bucks and show off the kind of communities we have here in KC and how the spirit of charity is not a give or take relationship but both. We give when we can and we receive when we need.
This is a formal invite to a Jeep Meet at Prarie Lea Lake on March 29 at 2pm.
Please help me by donating here at Go Fund Me, and then showing up when we get the call. I would love to have the local Jeep groups show up and make the evening news positive by giving back a little of what God has given us to this fantastic charity. Besides, you can probably hold off on that next mod for a month right? ;)

PS: Check out some of the other great stories from the Dream Factory by checking out their FB page. Here's a couple photos of other kids and their dreams coming true.

Kiley was the youngest Dream Child that the Chiefs had ever hosted. She arrived at the game in a limo, got VIP field access where she got to high five all players as they exited the field after practice, a sky diver brought her the game ball signed by Eric Berry and then she was escorted up to a broadcast suite where she cheered on the Chiefs while drinking some hot chocolate and eating cookies! We are so beyond grateful of our partnership with the Chiefs and the Hunt family. Also thank you to leader limo for providing transportation and KCP&L for donating the suite tickets and making the kids smile all night long!
And here's a couple more pics:
