Due to both manmade and natural disasters, the artisans have suffered a lot financially these past few months. Because of COVID, their in-country bazaars were cancelled, which raise the money they need for rent.
In addition, one of the artisan’s house was tragically burned down in a neighborhood fire. They have not been able to rebuild yet as they are still waiting on government assistance, and as a result, this family of 14 is living in cramped quarters in a mostly burnt down house.
It's our hope that as Dreamer & Co grows, the profits we make would be able to cover expenses and relief efforts like these. However, until then, we want to call on our community to help us make up the difference.
With your support, we are hoping to raise funds through the non-profit we partner with in country to assist the artisans with next year's rent and the costs in rebuilding Mouna’s home.
