Dreamin’ For Ajegunle
When the Shine My Crown team first saw a documentary on YouTube highlighting a slum area located in Lagos, Nigeria — we moved to help.
We reached out to an organization in Nigeria named Dreams from the Slum.
They have been working closely to help support school-aged children in Ajegunle.
DFTS currently works with 22 children. We are raising funds to pay for the education of all 22 children.
It costs $160 to sponsor a child's schooling for a full academic year.
The total amount would be $3,520. The founder advises me that the fees may or may not include a meal at school. If possible, we'd like to raise more ($3,500) to ensure that every schoolchild has a meal at school, as they are not guaranteed a meal at home.
If we can meet and exceed the target, any extra funds raised will go towards helping to feed other children in the village of Ajegunle.
In Ajegunle:
$5 feeds a family for two days
$10 feeds two families for two days
$50 feeds ten families for two days
$100 feeds twenty families for two days
DFTS is also in serious need of:
Clothes
Stationeries
Storybooks
School bags
Notebooks
We are striving to raise a minimum of $3,250 for Dreams From The Slum.
Help us reach our goal!!!
