Paralyzed man needs stem cells
Donation protected
My 27 year old nephew, Drake, was involved in a motorcycle accident in Seattle on July 18, 2018. A gust of wind blew him and his Harley into a guardrail and he fell over a 100 feet off of a cliff. He sustained injuries consisting of a compound fracture of the leg, road rash all over, concussion & broke his back in two places including a thoracic spine burst fracture. He will be having a spinal fusion and at this point doctors say he will be paralyzed from the waist down and we should not get our hopes up that it's only temporary. Drake has experienced way too much heartache in the 28 years he has been on this earth but with it all he has maintained a good attitude. When he was around 13 years old , he chose to make a personal commitment to never try alcohol or drugs and NEVER broke that commitment to himself. He made a life for himself in Seattle and has established himself as an amazing tattoo artist. He recently found out he is going to be a dad with his baby boy coming in December. He does not have insurance and he will have a long journey in recovery before he can work again. He is an amazing human being and our family is heartbroken that he is going through this.
***Fundraiser currently states Marco DiGiacinto (Drake's father) is beneficiary. Drake's name has not yet been added to the bank account since he cannot go into the bank, some paperwork needs to be signed. Be assured, all funds are going directly to Drake DiGiacinto.

The above note was added over a week into the fundraiser because we want everyone to know the details so they are comfortable donating. Someone chose to post a "red flag alert" comment to this fundraiser. I initially posted that he was 28 because I posted this fundraiser less than 24 hours after the accident and got his age wrong, I corrected it. I'm pushing 50 and my memory is not as sharp as it used to be. The beneficiary, as explained above, is my brother, Drakes's father. Drake is paralyzed and cannot go to a bank to open an account. The updates I posted to this fundraiser will also substantiate that I am not attempting to scam anyone. You can also call Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and verify that Drake DiGiacinto is indeed a patient who is currently undergoing painful and difficult rehabilitation. If anyone has any questions, please do not post negative commentary - reach out to me direclty:
